While domestic institutional investors are playing an increasingly dominant role in India’s benchmark indices, FIIs continue to pare exposure. Foreign ownership has declined across indices with all of them at the lower end of the 12-quarter range. Here are the top 10 stocks which saw the sharpest fall in FII holding in Q1.
Hyundai Motor India
FIIs reduced their stake in Hyundai Motor India to 3.3% in Q1 FY27 from 5.4% in the previous quarter, a decline of 210 basis points (2.1 percentage points).
Indraprastha Gas
Foreign investors cut their holding in Indraprastha Gas to 10.2% from 17.1%, translating into a reduction of 690 basis points (6.9 percentage points).
Pfizer
FII ownership in Pfizer declined to 1.7% from 2.8% during Q1 FY27, a fall of 110 basis points (1.1 percentage points).
Rail Vikas Nigam
FIIs pared their stake in Rail Vikas Nigam to 2.4% from 4.9%, a decline of 250 basis points (2.5 percentage points).
CE Info Systems
Foreign investors lowered their holding in CE Info Systems to 1.5% from 3.2%, representing a reduction of 170 basis points (1.7 percentage points).
Blue Jet Healthcare
FII stake in Blue Jet Healthcare slipped to 0.4% from 0.9%, a decline of 50 basis points (0.5 percentage points).
RBL Bank
FIIs reduced their stake in RBL Bank to 8.8% from 20.2%, marking a sharp decline of 1,140 basis points (11.4 percentage points).
Piramal Pharma
Foreign investors cut their holding in Piramal Pharma to 12.5% from 30.2%, a reduction of 1,770 basis points (17.7 percentage points).
Jain Resource Recycling
FIIs trimmed their stake in Jain Resource Recycling to 1.2% from 3.0%, a fall of 180 basis points (1.8 percentage points).
