Election Commission officials are challenging Rahul Gandhi to formalize his claims of “rigging” in the 2024 Maharashtra assembly elections by writing to the poll panel. The EC insists it can only offer a formal rebuttal to his “baseless allegations” if he communicates his grievances directly. The commission also expressed disappointment that Gandhi hasn’t responded despite being invited for consultations.
