GPS manufacturers cannot accept money to upgrade speed limiting device code: Transport department

The transport commissioner’s office has issued a warning against GPS manufacturers allegedly charging fees to upgrade speed limitation device codes in transport vehicles, particularly school buses. Transporters reported demands for payment to transition from old 5-digit codes to the mandated 16-digit systems.
