‘India now top smartphone supplier to US’: Vaishnaw cites Rs 12L cr output

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced India’s rise as a leading smartphone supplier to the US, with electronics manufacturing reaching Rs 12 lakh crore. Electronic production has surged sixfold in 11 years, with exports increasing eightfold to Rs 3 lakh crore. India has become the second-largest mobile phone manufacturer globally, driven by a significant increase in domestic production.
