Indian national anthem was played in Lahore ahead of the Australia vs England Group B fixture at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Saturday (February 22). After England's national anthem was played, everyone in the stadium including the players were waiting for the Australian anthem, when to everyone's surprise a line from the Indian anthem echoed in the stadium. The organisers were quick to realise their mistake as Advance Australia Fair was then played at the venue before the first ball was bowled. However, fans noticed the mistake and shared the videos of the goof up online.

While India have beaten Bangladesh in their campaign opener, Pakistan are on the verge of elimination after losing to New Zealand by 60 runs in their opening game.
