Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei accused the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) of providing the ‘pretext’ for recent Israeli and American strikes on the country’s nuclear facilities. Baghaei stressed his ‘outrage’ that the agency’s latest reports included ‘concepts’ that escalated tensions against Iran, speaking during an interview on Saturday. “Our people are angry about the IAEA position and Board of Governors resolution against Iran that provided a basis for the Israeli regime’s attack against Iranian nuclear facilities,” Baghaei stated, blasting IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi for what he said were misleading remarks.
