The Israeli military faces a legal challenge in the UK after pro-Palestine organisation Hind Rajab Foundation filed a criminal complaint over the interception of the British-flagged Gaza aid ship, Handala. The vessel, carrying food and medicine, was reportedly seized by Israeli naval forces nearly 100km off Gaza’s coast. All 21 unarmed crew members, including journalists and lawmakers, were detained. The foundation argues the operation violated international law, including the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, as the ship was in international waters when attacked.
