Three devotees lost their lives and several were injured in a tragic stampede near Shree Gundicha Temple in Puri during the Jagannath Rath Yatra. The incident occurred at Saradhabali amid a massive crowd rush. Odisha DGP Y.B. Khurania visited the site to assess the situation. CM Mohan Majhi apologized and ordered a probe, calling the negligence “unforgivable.” LoP Naveen Patnaik criticised the government for poor crowd control. Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan confirmed 3 deaths due to suffocation and said 6–7 were injured.
