Kakoli Dastidar appointed chief TMC LS whip; Satabdi Roy named deputy leader

Following internal discord and a lack of coordination among MPs, Trinamool Congress appointed Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar as its chief whip in Lok Sabha after Kunal Ghosh’s resignation. Satabdi Roy has been named the deputy leader in the Lower House. Kalyan Banerjee’s resignation as chief whip stemmed from unease within the party due to public spats with fellow TMC MPs.
