Ladki Bahin impact: No subsidised festive food kit for Ganeshotsav, says Maharashtra minister Chhagan Bhujbal

Maharashtra’s government will not distribute the ‘Anandacha Shidha’ festive food kits for Ganeshotsav this year. Minister Chhagan Bhujbal cited financial constraints due to the Mukhya Mantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, which costs the state Rs 45,000 crore annually. The ‘Anandacha Shidha’ scheme, costing Rs 350-400 crore, provides subsidized food items to ration card holders.
