A record discharge of over 3 lakh cusecs from Jayakwadi Dam displaced more than 9,800 residents in Jalna and downstream areas as the Godavari River swelled. Authorities provided aid and issued alerts, with the discharge later reducing. Easing rainfall is now expected to lower river levels.
