Maharashtra has mandated Hindi as a third language for Classes 1 to 5 in all Marathi and English-medium schools, aligning with the National Education Policy 2020. A recent Government Resolution directs schools to implement this immediately, with Marathi as the first language and English or Hindi as the second.
