Veteran Malayalam actor Shanavas, son of evergreen legend Prem Nazir, passed away on August 4, 2025, at the age of 71 in a Thiruvananthapuram hospital, following a prolonged health issues . He debuted in with ‘Premageethangal’ and went on to act in more than 50 Malayalam films and several TV serials, before returning with ‘China Town’. His final appearance came in Prithviraj Sukumaran’s ‘Jana Gana Mana’ (2022) . Shanavas is survived by his wife and two sons—Shameer Khan
