Dhoni was sat with a group of people behind him. Notably, he was donning yellow Chennai Super Kings colours. He will be representing the franchise in the upcoming 2025 IPL season and was presumably filming a commercial for the same. He said he needed to put his body through "six to eight months" of hard work to get fit for the tournament.
Chennai Super Kings retained Dhoni ahead of the IPL 2025 auction, using the new uncapped player rule. Dhoni said on Friday as quoted by PTI, I only play a couple of months in a year, but I want to enjoy it the way I started playing, that's something that keeps me going. But, of course, for that, I need to put in a lot of hard work for six to eight months because IPL is one of the toughest tournaments. Nobody really cares about how old you are.
