Mumbai train tragedy: Railways to redesign coaches; what are the new features?

Following a tragic train accident in Maharashtra, the Railway Minister and railway board officials are implementing significant design changes for new non-AC trains. These modifications include louvred doors, roof-mounted ventilation, and vestibules to improve ventilation and passenger movement. The first redesigned train is expected to be ready by November 2025 and operational by January 2026 after testing.
