Next-gen highway: Dwarka Expressway gets India’s first AI traffic system

India has launched its first Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) project on the Dwarka Expressway in Delhi, aligning with NHAI’s 2023 guidelines. This AI-powered system, covering 56.46 km, integrates traffic monitoring cameras, incident detection, and enforcement systems. It aims to enhance road safety by detecting traffic violations and disseminating information, setting a national benchmark for intelligent traffic management.
