State-owned NTPC announced on Tuesday that it has disbursed an additional ₹2,424 crore as an interim dividend to its shareholders for the financial year ending March 2025. Total dividend payout reaches ₹8,000 crore This latest payment follows the first interim dividend of ₹2,424 crore distributed in November 2024. The February 18 payout represents 25% of the company’s paid-up equity share capital. With this, NTPC’s total dividend payout for the ongoing fiscal has now reached ₹8,000 crore, which includes the final dividend of ₹3,152 crore for the financial year 2023-24, paid in September 2024. Consistent dividend payments for over three decades NTPC has a track record of 32 consecutive years of dividend payments, reinforcing its commitment to delivering value to shareholders. India’s Largest Integrated Power Utility As a leading power producer under the Ministry of Power, NTPC contributes nearly one-fourth of India's electricity needs. The company currently has an installed capacity of over 77 GW, with an additional 29.5 GW under construction, including 9.6 GW of renewable energy capacity. Commitment to Renewable Energy Emerging Technologies NTPC aims to achieve 60 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2032 as part of its green energy transition. In addition, the company is actively expanding into e-mobility, battery storage, pumped hydro storage, waste-to-energy, nuclear power, and green hydrogen solutions, reinforcing its role in India’s sustainable energy future.
