The second ODI between India and England in Cuttack was halted for more than 30 minutes owing to disruption caused by floodlight failure. The embarrassment caused to the Odisha government, and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) resulted in the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) being issued a show-cause notice on Monday. Odisha Cricket Association served show-cause notice The director of sports in Odisha government, Siddhartha Das has issued a show-cause notice to Odisha Cricket Association for the delay caused during the 2nd ODI on Sunday. The Barabati Stadium in Cuttack was packed to the brim, although play was paused for more than half an hour causing inconvenience to fans and players alike. The floodlight failure has not gone unnoticed as the Odisha Cricket Association have been asked to present a detailed explanation of the issue and take measures to prevent future occurrence of the same. The notice also highlighted that the findings of the matter must be presented in the next 10 days, according to a report in Cricbuzz. The show-cause notice urged the OCA to identify the persons/agencies responsible for the disruption. The show-cause notice was issued to OCA secretary Sanjay Behera. The OCA is without a president currently, while Subrata Behera, a former player of the state is serving as the CEO of the board.
