India has successfully evacuated 517 citizens from Iran under Operation Sindhu, as tensions escalate between Israel and Iran. Two more flights landed in Delhi, one from Iran and another from Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, early Saturday. The evacuees included students, pilgrims, and professionals, who were relocated from Tehran, Qom, and Mashad. The Ministry of External Affairs expressed gratitude to Iran for easing airspace restrictions to facilitate the evacuation, enabling three chartered flights. The first flight carrying 110 Indian students studying in Urmia University had arrived earlier on Thursday via Armenia. More flights are expected as the evacuation continues.
