China has thanked India for its swift and professional response after a massive fire broke out on the Singapore-flagged cargo vessel MV Wan Hai 503 off the Kerala coast on June 9. The ship, en route from Colombo to Nhava Sheva, had 22 crew members onboard, including 8 Chinese nationals and 6 Taiwanese. 18 crew were rescued, five injured, and four remain missing. The Indian Coast Guard launched firefighting and rescue operations, with aerial and marine assets deployed. The vessel continues to drift while authorities warn of potential oil spill and drifting containers. Shoreline surveillance has been intensified between Kozhikode and Kochi to prevent hazards. #mvwanhai503fire #kerala #singapore #colombo #cargoship #china #news #indiancoastguardrescue #chinesegratitudeindia #maritimeincident #cargoshipfire #singaporevessel #missingseafarers #indiantaiwanrescue #marinesafety #oilspillalert #containercrisis #azhikkalfire #navalrescue #indiannavy #toi #toibharat
