Revenue-first approach According to Samaa TV, Naqvi has directed authorities to sell tickets for the premium box to boost tournament revenue, setting a tone of fiscal responsibility as Pakistan hosts its first major ICC event since the 1996 World Cup. Infrastructure focus Speaking to The Indian Express, Naqvi highlighted the significant infrastructure upgrades undertaken for the tournament. "Our stadiums last underwent significant renovations for the 1996 World Cup," he said. "Since then, the global cricketing landscape has evolved tremendously." Venue preparations "We recognised that this event was an opportunity to showcase Pakistan's ability to host top-tier international cricket," Naqvi explained, the transformation of key venues. "The dedication and expertise of our workforce have been instrumental in transforming Gaddafi Stadium and National Stadium Karachi into world-class venues."
