It has been nine years since Pratyusha Banerjee's passing, yet fans continue to remember their beloved Anandi. Following her death, actor Rahul Raj Singh, who claimed to be in a relation with her, faced serious allegations, with Pratyusha's family accusing him of her murder and filing a case against him. After all these years, Rahul Raj Singh has finally spoken about what really happened on that tragic day. Pratyusha's family filed a case against Rahul Raj, accusing him of murdering their daughter. In a conversation with Bhaskar English, Rahul Raj revealed that a phone call recording has been recovered from forensic reports, and the case will now move forward. He also spoke about how the situation was turned against him and alleged that Kamya Punjabi used Pratyusha's name for fame and publicity. How did you meet Pratyusha? I first met Pratyusha at Sara Khan's birthday party while I was working on a South film. We met again two years later at a house party in 2015. Since we were both from Jamshedpur, we connected instantly. However, at that time, Pratyusha was in a relationship with someone else. Things took an unexpected turn when news articles suddenly claimed that Pratyusha had found her ideal partner. Though it was about her then boyfriend whom she dated before Rahul. We bonded well. She was going through her breakup and it was that time that our friendship grew, which gradually turned into love. What exactly happened on the day of Pratyusha's death. Was their any fight? There was no fight between Pratyusha and me, but she had some differences with her family. Her father was an alcoholic who would drink, abuse her, and take her out in the middle of the night. While she was working, her parents took her earnings. Pratyusha struggled to cope with this situation and lacked the confidence to fight back, which led her to take such a drastic step. On the day of her death, while I was out, she called me up and said I am leaving everything and going I cannot take all this pressure. I tried to assure her that everything will be all right. But, it was too late. By the time I reached home to calm her down, I saw that she was hanging. She was still breathing and hence there was hope of her getting saved. Earlier I thought she is doing a prank on me until I saw Pratyusha hanging. She died in hospital. And after that everything turned against me. But, now as phone call recordings have been recovered, truth will be out. There were allegations that Pratyusha was pregnant. How true is that? Her family and some friends wanted to wipe out my image. These are all cooked up stories by them. I wanted to start a family with her, so there was no point of torturing her.
