Celebrated actor Rani Mukerji has received the National Film Award for Best Actress at the 71st National Film Awards, her first such honour in a 30-year career, for the gripping legal drama ‘Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway’. Rani described the recognition as ‘deeply emotional and personal’, calling it a validation of her decades-long dedication to cinema. She dedicated the award to all mothers, saying, ‘A mother’s love for her child is unconditional… A mother can move mountains.’ In her heartfelt statement, she thanked the jury, her team—including director Ashima Chibber and producers Nikkhil, Monisha & Madhu—and her fans, noting that their unwavering support is what has sustained her for years.
