Rich man’s drug: From 19kg in 2020, cocaine haul soars to 1,483kg in 2024; Delhi, Maharashtra key hubs

Delhi and Maharashtra have become major hubs for cocaine seizures, with a massive surge in 2024, according to an NCB report. Cocaine seizures in these states were nearly 78 times higher than in 2020. The NCB report also highlights an increase in synthetic drug seizures and the use of courier services for drug smuggling after the Covid-19 pandemic.
