Shares of Reliance Industries (RIL) will remain in focus on Wednesday after India’s most valuable company announced that its board will consider and approve its Q2 FY27 results and a proposal to raise funds through non-convertible debentures (NCDs) on October 30.

Investors will also track RIL as its telecom arm, Jio Platforms, makes its much-awaited stock market debut. Jio could join its parent company among India’s most valuable listed companies.

In an exchange filing released on Tuesday, the Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries said that its board of directors will consider and approve the standalone and consolidated unaudited financial results for the quarter and half-year ended September 30, 2026. It will also consider raising funds through the issuance of listed, secured or unsecured, redeemable non-convertible debentures on a private placement basis, in one or more tranches. RIL did not disclose the proposed fundraising amount or other terms of the NCD issuance.

This comes as investors watch out for the earnings performance of the company’s key businesses, including oil-to-chemicals (O2C), telecom, retail and oil and gas, following a mixed set of results in the June quarter.

The shares of Jio Platforms will debut on BSE and NSE today, following India's biggest-ever initial public offering (IPO) worth Rs 30,213 crore that saw strong investor interest during its three days of public bidding.

The mega maiden public issue of the company was subscribed over 22 times its offer size, according to data from the National Stock Exchange (NSE). Institutional investors led the demand, with the qualified institutional buyers (QIB) category subscribed 70.55 times by the close of bidding. The non-institutional investor (NII) segment was subscribed 14 times, while the retail individual investor (RII) category received bids equivalent to 2.72 times the shares reserved for it.

The Rs 30,213-crore maiden public issue for the telecom giant broke several records, including the title of India’s largest-ever IPO by surpassing Hyundai Motor India’s Rs 27,870-crore offering in 2024. The issue set records across fundraising, anchor investor demand and applications, while attracting the highest qualified institutional buyer (QIB) subscription among India’s five largest IPOs. It was fully subscribed within 100 minutes of opening and received nearly 1.4 crore applications, according to figures compiled for the issue.
