Indian equity benchmarks ended little changed on Tuesday, with a mild negative bias, as losses in banking, auto and pharma stocks weighed on the market. The Nifty slipped below the 24,100 level and closed at 24,055.8, down 24.6 points or 0.1%. The index stayed near the key 24,000 support zone through the session.

The BSE Sensex ended at 76,944.28, lower by 12.99 points or 0.02%, as gains in IT, FMCG and select heavyweights helped limit the fall.

Hero MotoCorp: The company’s domestic dispatches rose 4.5% year on year to 5,42,305 units in August 2026, as stronger scooter sales helped offset a decline in motorcycle volumes. The country’s largest two-wheeler maker by volume had dispatched 5,19,139 units in the domestic market in August last year.

Tata Motors: The company said it has secured all prior regulatory approvals required under the relevant sector rules for its proposed acquisition of Italian commercial vehicle maker Iveco Group, marking another step towards completing the transaction.

Adani Green Energy: The renewable energy firm commissioned a 139 MW solar power project at Khavda, Gujarat, taking its operational renewable energy capacity beyond 20 GW. The project, developed by its wholly owned step-down subsidiary Adani Green Energy Twenty Six A, has taken AGEL’s operational renewable generation capacity to 20,280.8 MW, while its operational battery energy storage capacity stands at 3,551 MWh.

Wipro: The IT major has renewed its Digital Workplace Services contract with ABB, extending its long-standing engagement with the global electrification and automation company. Under the renewed deal, Wipro will continue providing AI-enabled digital workplace services across ABB’s global operations, with a focus on automation, AI-powered capabilities and workplace modernisation.

Welspun Corp: The company and Perma-Pipe International Holdings have signed a memorandum of understanding with the developers of Jordan’s National Water Carrier Project and the Jordanian government to develop pipe manufacturing and advanced coating facilities in the country.

Gland Pharma: Gland Pharma said the US FDA has concluded a GMP inspection at its Visakhapatnam facility conducted from August 24 to September 1, with zero Form 483 observations.

NMDC: The company recorded an increase in production in August, with total output rising to 4.07 million tonnes (MT) from 3.37 MT in the year-ago period. Total sales stood at 3.58 MT, compared with 3.39 MT in August 2025.

Texmaco Rail & Engineering: The company has secured an order worth Rs 24.48 crore, inclusive of taxes, from Transport Corporation of India Limited for the manufacturing, supply and commissioning of a rake consisting of ACT-1 and BVCM wagons.
