A report by Axios says US President Donald Trump has been making efforts to achieve a ceasefire between Iran and Israel since the US military struck three nuclear facilities– Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan– in Iran on June 22. The report revealed that Iran had sent a message to the Trump administration via Qatar before it attacked an Al-Udeid airbase. Meanwhile, the US president refused to retaliate against the Iranian attack and instead sought negotiations for a truce. Trump also wants to resume nuclear talks with Tehran, the report adds.
