Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has criticized NATO’s actions in the Asia-Pacific, saying the alliance is expanding its military infrastructure far from its traditional zone, under the pretext of addressing distant threats. He accused the U.S. of forming exclusive military and political alliances with countries like Japan, South Korea, and the Philippines to counter China and Russia, and warned that such efforts risk destabilizing the region by weakening ASEAN’s long-standing central role in regional security. Lavrov sent a message of unity to Eurasian countries, and called for revival of Russia-India-China (RIC) grouping. Watch.
