A major disruption hit the Chennai–Arakkonam train route early Sunday as a crude oil tanker on a freight train caught fire near Thiruvallur. The train, carrying 45 tankers from Ennore to Mumbai, experienced the incident around 5 am. Rail traffic was halted, causing delays and diversions. No injuries have been reported, and an investigation into the fire’s cause is underway.
