‘Tied to pole, beaten’: Army jawan assaulted by toll workers in UP; 4 arrested

In Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut, an Army jawan, Kapil Kavad, was assaulted by toll plaza workers. Kavad was en route to Delhi airport with his cousin to return to duty when the incident happened at Bhuni Toll Plaza on the Meerut–Karnal highway on Sunday night. Video footage shows multiple toll employees beating and restraining Kavad.
