‘Tied to suicide case’, Maharashtra special IG relieved of additional charge

Following allegations of shielding accused individuals in the Vaishnavi Hagawane suicide case, the Maharashtra home department has relieved IPS officer Jalindar Supekar of his additional charge as DIG of prisons for Nashik, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, and Nagpur divisions. The decision was made considering the importance and responsibilities associated with the DIG post.
