Waseem Mushtaq, who plays the character of Jagdish in Colors’s show Ram Bhavan, has been lauded for his ability to bring naturalism to his roles. “For me, the biggest challenge has always been to make my performance look effortless. I come from a school of thought where acting should not feel like acting,” he shares, reflecting on his approach to the craft.
Waseem speaks highly of the realistic setup, particularly the haveli, which plays a crucial role in the narrative. “The art direction team has done an outstanding job in creating a set that feels authentic. The worn-out haveli adds depth to the story and reflects the family’s struggles.”
As Jagdish, Waseem plays a man navigating the challenges of familial responsibilities and his wife’s hidden agenda. “My character is good-hearted and believes he and his wife are doing their best for the family. However, he is unaware of her true intentions. Once the truth is revealed, his journey takes a pivotal turn,” he adds.
