Shares of Welspun Corp rallied as much as 9% to a day’s high of Rs 2,193 on the BSE on Friday after the company announced that it had secured the largest-single order in its history, valued at approximately $1.8 billion, or around Rs 17,200 crore, for the supply of pipes from its manufacturing facility in the United States.

With the latest order, Welspun Corp's global order book has swelled to a record $4.4 billion, equivalent to around Rs 42,100 crore, according to the company. This marks the highest order book in the company's history.

According to the company, the order is the single largest ever awarded to Welspun Corp and is scheduled to be executed between FY 2028 and FY 2029. The company said the record order marks a defining milestone in its global growth trajectory and reinforces its position as a trusted large-scale partner in the global energy and infrastructure sector.

The order is expected to substantially strengthen the company's order book and provide multi-year revenue visibility, Welspun Corp said. The company also described the win as a validation of the scale, quality and execution capabilities of its operations.

Welspun Corp said the order reflects the confidence that major global energy players place in the company as a preferred partner for large, complex and mission-critical pipeline infrastructure projects. The company added that its order book and the trust of its partners position it for sustained, long-term growth in the North American energy infrastructure market.

The company said the landmark order also demonstrates its long-term strategy of expanding its global manufacturing capacity and deepening its relationships with marquee international clients.

The $1.8 billion order from its US manufacturing facility is therefore a key development for investors to track when the stock opens on Monday. Welspun Corp said the order, along with the record global order book, strengthens its multi-year revenue visibility and reflects the scale of its operations in the global energy and infrastructure sector.

Welspun Corp reported a nearly threefold jump in consolidated net profit to Rs 1,048 crore for the June quarter of the current fiscal, from Rs 349 crore in the same quarter a year ago. The increase was driven by higher income, along with a one-time gain from the sale of shares in its Saudi Arabian associate East Pipes Integrated Company (EPIC).

Total income for the quarter rose to Rs 4,145 crore from Rs 3,586.5 crore in Q1 FY26.

The company's board also approved the acquisition of an additional 51% equity stake in Welspun Captive Power Generation Ltd (WCPGL) from Welspun Living Ltd (WLL), a promoter group company. The acquisition comprises 1,50,64,213 equity shares, each with a face value of Rs 10, for a consideration of Rs 67.66 crore.

Following completion of the acquisition, WCPGL will become a subsidiary of Welspun Corp. Welspun Corp's aggregate stake in WCPGL will increase from 23% to 74%.
