Yashasvi Jaiswal has been ruled out of Mumbai's Ranji Trophy semifinal against Vidarbha. The final four clash slated to get underway on 17 February, will see one of the two teams book their tickets for the summit clash. Jaiswal however will play no part in the semi-final after suffering pain in his left ankle. Therefore, he won't play in the must-win clash, although Mumbai are not likely to name any replacement for the young opener. The southpaw was only added to Mumbai's squad as the 18th player after he was left out of India's squad for the Champions Trophy 2025. Yashasvi Jaiswal to miss Mumbai vs Vidarbha Initially, the youngster was included in the Indian provisional squad, but he was later picked as a 'non-travelling' reserve, alongside Mohammed Siraj and Shivam Dube. The Indian team may also be forced to pick another non-travelling reserve with Yashasvi Jaiswal set to report to the Center for Excellence to begin his rehabilitation. According to a report in the Times of India, the Mumbai batter suffered a relapse from an earlier ankle issue. The report claimed that Jaiswal's injury will be evaluated and treated at the Centre for Excellence. He suffered pain in his left ankle, and while fielding in Nagpur on Saturday, the youngster looked uncomfortable. Jaiswal will begin rehab at Centre for Excellence His absence will be a big blow for Mumbai, in what will be a repeat of last year's Ranji Trophy final at Jamtha. For the unversed, Yashasvi had recently made his ODI debut during the first match of the 3-match series against England.
