The unlisted-share market has seen sharp price movements in 2026, with Metropolitan Stock Exchange of India (MSEI) more than doubling in indicative value, while Zepto has declined nearly half from its indicative price, according to data from Unlisted Arena.

According to Manan Doshi, co-founder of Unlisted Arena, defence, AI and exchanges have emerged as some of the key themes attracting investor interest in the unlisted market in 2026.

“We are seeing increased investor interest across companies operating in these sectors, reflecting expectations around structural growth and the potential for future value creation. At the same time, the contrasting performance of other unlisted names shows that this is not a broad-based rally—investors are becoming increasingly selective, with growth prospects, valuations and the potential for a future listing playing an important role in pricing,” Doshi said.

Zepto recorded the biggest decline among the companies covered in the data. Its indicative price fell from Rs 58 on January 12 to Rs 30 currently, marking a decline of around 48.3%.

NCDEX's indicative price declined from Rs 455 on January 1 to Rs 380 currently, a fall of approximately 16.5%. The indicative price touched Rs 355 around June 24 before recovering to its current level.

OYO declined from Rs 26.85 on January 1 to Rs 23.50 currently, representing a fall of around 12.5%.
