As many as 25 companies including Vedanta Aluminium Metal, Hyundai Motor India, Brigade Enterprises, Berger Paints and others are set to turn ex-record date for dividends on Wednesday (August 5), effectively making today the last day for interested investors to buy the shares to be eligible for payments cumulatively worth nearly Rs 430.
As per Sebi's T+1 settlement cycle, investors must buy a company's shares at least one trading day before the record date to ensure the shares are credited to their demat accounts in time, and they become eligible for the corporate action. Shareholders who hold the company's shares in their demat accounts as of the record date will be eligible to receive the dividend.
This came as the newly-listed company reported a more than three fold year-on-year (YoY) jump in consolidated net profit to Rs 5,629 crore for the first quarter of FY27, while revenue from operations rose 46% YoY to Rs 21,393 crore.
