Domestic brokerage firm Axis Direct’ latest report highlighted top dividend yield stocks, which lists companies that have consistently rewarded shareholders with strong payouts. A dividend yield is a financial ratio that shows how much a company pays out in dividends each year relative to its stock price. Here are 15 large cap stocks with the highest dividend yields, according to the report.

Vedanta

The Anil Agarwal-led Vedanta is popular among investors for its high dividend payouts. The company which has an m-cap of around Rs 1.04 lakh crore has delivered the highest dividend yield of 10%, the report said.

Coal India

PSU major Coal India comes second on the Axis Direct’s list with a dividend yield of 8%. In July, Coal India declared an interim dividend of Rs 5.50 per share for the ongoing financial year 2027. The record date to determine the eligibility of shareholders set to receive the payment has been fixed on July 31. It has paid dividend worth Rs 31.9 per share in the past one year, according to the report.

Indian Oil Corporation

Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has a dividend yield of 7%. The OMC has declared 42 dividends since August 2001, and last paid a dividend of Rs 2 per share in March this year, according to data on Trendlyne. This comes even as the stock declined around 16% so far in 2026 amid rising oil prices.

BPCL

Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) has a dividend yield of 7%. The OMC has declared 45 dividends since June, 2001, and last paid a dividend of Rs 10 per share in February this year, according to data on Trendlyne. This comes even as the stock declined more than 16% so far in 2026.

REC

REC, which is heading towards its mega merger with PFC, has a dividend yield of 6%. The Maharatna company has declared 48 dividends since September 2008, and has paid dividends worth Rs 23.9 per share in the past 12 months, according to data on Trendlyne.

ONGC

Upstream producer Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) sits comfortably at a 6% yield with a payout of Rs 13.5 per share in the past twelve months. The shares of the company are overall up nearly 2% in 2026 so far.

ITC

ITC has a dividend yield of 5%, according to Axis Direct’s report. The FMCG major has paid dividend worth Rs 14.5 per share in the past 12 months. The company currently has a market capitalisation of Rs 3.53 lakh crore.

Tata Consultancy Services

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) also has a dividend yield of 5%, according to Axis Direct’s report. India’s largest IT services firm has paid dividend worth Rs 111 per share in the past 12 months. The company currently has a market capitalisation of Rs 8.56 lakh crore.

HCL Technologies

HCL Technologies has a dividend yield of 4%, according to Axis Direct’s report. The IT services major has paid dividend worth Rs 60 per share in the past 12 months. The company currently has a market capitalisation of Rs 3.64 lakh crore.

Wipro

Wipro has a dividend yield of 4%, according to Axis Direct’s report. The IT firm has paid dividend worth Rs 8 per share in the past 12 months. The company currently has a market capitalisation of Rs 1.81 lakh crore.

Power Finance Corporation
