As many as 10 companies have fixed Monday as the record date for their respective dividends, effectively making today the last day for interested investors to buy the shares to be eligible for the payments.
Under Sebi's T+1 settlement cycle, investors need to purchase a company’s shares at least one trading day before the record date to ensure the shares are credited to their demat accounts in time, and they become eligible for the corporate action. Accordingly, today is the last opportunity for investors to buy the shares so that they are credited to their accounts by the record date (August 24), making them eligible for the dividend.
Senco Gold in May had announced a final dividend of Re 1 per share with a face value of Rs 5 each for the financial year 2026. The company earlier this month fixed August 24 as the record date to determine the eligibility of shareholders set to receive the dividend.
The jewellery maker has declared five dividends since November 2023, and currently has a dividend yield of 0.22%, according to data on Trendlyne. The shares of the company have fallen around 4% in a week and more than 7% in a month, although they are up 7% in 2026 so far. In the longer term, Senco Gold shares have delivered 67% returns over three years.

National Aluminium Company (NALCO) in late July had declared a final dividend of Re 1 per share with a face value of Rs 5 each for the financial year 2026. This comes after the metals major paid a first interim dividend of Rs 4 per share, second interim dividend of Rs 4.50 per share and third interim dividend of Rs 2 per share. This takes the total dividend payout for the financial year which ended on March 31, 2026 to Rs 11.50 per share.
NALCO has declared 55 dividends since August, 2000 and has a dividend yield of 3.36%, according to data on Trendlyne. The shares of the company have fallen over 3% in a week but gained 13% in a month and 23% in 2026 so far. In the longer term, NALCO shares have delivered strong returns of 101% over three years, 346% in three years and 428% in five years.
Gillette India accounts for the highest dividend payout among all the stocks turning ex-record date on Monday for their respective dividends. The company will pay a dividend of Rs 60 per share to its shareholders.
International Gemological Institute will pay Rs 2.55 per share, while Naturewings Holidays will pay Rs 1.6 per share. Other stocks turning ex-record date for dividends on Monday include AMJ Land Holdings (Rs 0.2 per share), GK Energy (Rs 0.5 per share), India Pesticides (Rs 0.75 per share), Pudumjee Paper Products (Rs 0.6 per share) and SJVN (Rs 0.35 per share).
