Shares of SBI Funds Management will be in focus on Tuesday after the asset management company reported its first quarterly results since listing last month, posting steady growth in profit, income and assets under management for the quarter ended June 30, 2026.
The company's net profit rose 3.3% year-on-year to Rs 873 crore from Rs 845 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue from operations increased 15.2% to Rs 1,146 crore from Rs 995 crore a year earlier.
Operating profit came in at Rs 907 crore, marking a 17% increase from the year-ago period. On a sequential basis, profit after tax grew 37% during the quarter.
SBI Funds Management's mutual fund quarterly average assets under management (QAAUM) stood at Rs 12.6 trillion, up 11% from a year ago. The company retained its position as the country's largest mutual fund manager with a market share of 15.1%.
Actively managed equity QAAUM rose 10% year-on-year to Rs 8.6 trillion, giving the company a market share of 12.5%. Passive QAAUM grew 12% to Rs 4 trillion, with SBI Funds Management continuing to lead the segment with a market share of 27.4%.
Alternate assets under management (AUM), which include alternative investment funds (AIF), portfolio management services (PMS), advisory and offshore funds, stood at Rs 16.5 trillion. AIF QAAUM increased 29% year-on-year to around Rs 6,800 crore.
The company's investor base also continued to expand during the quarter. It had 18.2 million unique investors, 16 million live systematic investment plans (SIPs) and 22.3 million mutual fund investor folios. The number of individual investors from beyond the top 30 (B-30) cities stood at 12.7 million.
As of the end of the quarter, SBI Funds Management offered 122 mutual fund schemes, including 35 equity-oriented schemes, 36 debt schemes and 43 exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and index fund schemes. The company also launched six new schemes during the first quarter of FY27.
